Dental veneers in Matamoros, Mexico
Veneers are thin shells of porcelain or composite bonded to the front of the teeth to change their shape, size or shade. They are recommended after we evaluate the health of your teeth and gums, your bite and what you expect from the result.

What they can improve
- A shade that doesn't improve with whitening.
- Worn, chipped or irregularly shaped teeth.
- Small gaps between teeth.
- Differences in size or proportion between visible teeth.
Types of veneers
Porcelain veneers
Made in the dental lab. They resist stains well and keep their shade over time.
Composite veneers
Shaped directly on the tooth. Often more conservative and easier to repair, but they can stain over the years.
Alternatives
Sometimes whitening, orthodontics or a crown is a better choice. We'll tell you honestly at your evaluation.
How the process works
The number of visits depends on the type of veneer and your case. If you're coming from the U.S., we give you the full schedule before starting.
- 1
Evaluation
Exam of teeth, gums and bite, with clinical photos.
- 2

Shape, proportion and shade are planned around your face and your goals.
- 3
Preparation
Depending on the case, minimal enamel reshaping may be needed. Sometimes it isn't.
- 4
Fabrication
HG Dental Lab makes the veneers from the approved design.
- 5
Placement and adjustment
Veneers are bonded and the bite, contacts and appearance are checked.
- 6
Maintenance
Checkups and professional cleanings to keep them in good condition.
Possible benefits
- Changes in shape and shade, planned in advance.
- Porcelain veneers keep their shade and resist stains well.
- Can be more conservative than a full crown.
Limitations and considerations
- If enamel is reshaped, that change can't be undone.
- They can chip or come loose, especially if you clench or grind your teeth.
- They don't fix significant bite or alignment problems.
- They aren't suitable if there is untreated decay or gum disease.
- They need maintenance and may eventually need replacing.

Will my teeth be filed down?
It depends on the case. Some veneers need minimal enamel reshaping and others don't. We explain this before you decide.
How long do veneers last?
They can last many years with good care, but it depends on the material, your habits and your bite. An exact lifespan can't be guaranteed.
I already have veneers. Can they be replaced?
In many cases, yes. We first check the teeth under your current veneers and your bite; then a new design for shape, proportion and shade is planned.
Can veneers be whitened?
No, veneers don't change shade with whitening. If you want to lighten your natural teeth, that's done before the veneers are made.
How many visits will I need if I'm coming from Texas?
It depends on the type of veneer. After your evaluation we give you an estimated schedule so you can plan your trips.
How much do veneers cost?
It depends on how many veneers, the material and whether any preliminary treatment is needed. We explain the full cost after your evaluation.
